Search capabilities on Preaching Standard are powerful, because if you can't find it, it might as well not be here. You decide whether you want to search by topic, by contributor, by scripture text or by keyword…and whether you want to do that in our basic search or in the advanced search that will provide you Google results from our site by any keyword you select.

Basic Search
You can search sermons and illustrations by contributor, topic, or scripture text.

Contributors and topics are both on drop-down lists, making it even easier for you.  For scripture search, you type in the exact text or just the chapter or just the book—and you can find what sermons or illustrations are available.

Book reviews use a keyword search tool, so whether you type in the title, part of the title, or the author’s name, it will find the book review. Or, you may also search by reviewer name, using a drop-down list of our reviewers.

Advanced Search
Or, if you prefer, use the Advanced Search capability that will find for you everything on our site that contains the word for which you are searching using Google's specialized search technology. Here’s a sample of one search result for the word “Thomas.”
